ABSTRACT: In the essay weighted voting and proportional representation is suggested as a decision-making system in international governmental organizations.The EEC-system of weighted voting is examined, and a similar system is suggested for the UN General Assembly.The effects of this system on several topics are examined so as which states should be favoured.The legal principle of equality of States, the factors forming the political structures of States should be fully recognized through weighted voting.
